Plant Overview

• Plant type: Upright, branching shrub-type begonia.
• Typical mature size: Approximately 45–60 cm tall indoors, depending on growing conditions.
• Foliage: Slender, pointed leaves with varied colours and speckled markings. New leaves often begin lime green and develop more colour as they mature.
• Flowers: May produce small clusters of pale pink to white blooms.

Plant Care Guide

• Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Protect the leaves from harsh direct sunlight.
• Watering: Water thoroughly when the top 2–3 cm of the growing mix begins to dry. Allow excess water to drain, and avoid leaving the pot standing in water.
• Humidity: Prefers high humidity with gentle airflow. A ventilated plant cabinet or a humidifier can help in a dry home.
• Growing mix: Use a light, airy mix that holds some moisture while draining freely. Coco coir or peat combined with perlite and fine orchid bark is one suitable option.
• Temperature: Keep in a warm space away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
